The Top 10 Best Cities For Jobs in 2007
Forbes published its annual list of the top 10 cites to work in last week. Sadly Boston is no where to be found in the top 10. This drives me nuts! We educated the most students in the world within our region and yet it’s very hard to keep them here after graduation.
Raleigh-Cary, NC
Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ
Jacksonville, FL
Orlando-Kissimmee, FL
Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV
Salt Lake City, UT
Honolulu, HI
Las Vegas-Paradise, NV
Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach, FL
Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News, VA-NC
I can’t argue with Vegas or Honolulu, even Phoenix is nice, but Salt Lake City? Come on!
If you’re wondering why Raleigh, NC is #1, take a look at how many Fortune 500 companies call it home, not to mention that our own Fidelity Investments keeps quietly moving operations down there.
