Haunted Houses

On the radio this morning I heard an advertisement for the Haunted Hayrides that populate the suburbs this time of year and realized that Halloween is just around the corner. I know, I know how do haunted hayrides and houses relate to real estate, right?
You would be surprised.
When looking at properties there are quite a few things a seller(s) has to disclose up front. Basic Lead Law Statement, Age of the Roof, and any easements on the property. But do they have to disclose any ghosts, how about a murder, or rape?. Basically do sellers need to disclose and issues that may cause a house to have bad karma? Which believe it or not is very important to some people - but never think to ask.
Basically, in Massachusetts sellers do not have to disclose this information upfront. Although, if asked, and such an event did occur at the property, the seller is lawfully required to disclose the fact that such an incident did happen.
Moral of the story if you believe in Karma or Ghosts… ask.
